Engineering

The fiercer the competition, the more need for quality people

Engineers are the driving force behind technological progress. Whether it’s machinery or equipment construction, aerospace or aviation, fierce competition demands a sure command of international standards. Plus the technological knowledge to drive innovation as plant engineers, design specialists or robotic experts. And as project managers with the overview to deliver all or part of a key project.

Brunel is able to be flexible and move quickly for customers who need to exploit market opportunities. Providing quality people, but also cutting-edge services from our in-house test and development centers.

You need the technical skills and the teamwork skills

“As a construction engineer, I check construction designs for swimming plants. I’ve also worked in airplane and ship construction, where I used my FEM knowledge to describe a material’s physical properties. I work closely with designers and stress analysts, but also marketing and control colleagues. Effective teamwork skills are vital on complex, multi-specialization projects. Something working with Brunel equips you for.”

It’s important work and that makes it satisfying work

“I’m currently employed as a mechanical fitter on an oil rig on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The focus is on installing hydraulic lifting equipment for the exact positioning of the drilling derrick in the center of the rig. I carry out and document all works, and take the quality management-related operational regulations into account. The safety aspect is prominent, as in all offshore work. It’s important work and that’s satisfying.”
