We’re hiring a Regional Sales Manager for our client, a successful cannabis company. This individual must demonstrate above average Business Performance Success through a deep understanding of budgeting, analysis and KPI monitoring. They will be managing several stores in a region, strong interpersonal skills make this person a Relationship Manager both internally and externally with all stakeholders, easily moving from store level to senior management to external parties. The goal is to ensure our stores are industry compliant, meet and exceed expectations of business development profits and efficiencies.

About this role

Responsibilities

  • Regional Sales and Gross Margins;
  • Determination of Promotions, Timing, Duration;
  • Accountable to Senior Management for Regional Profitability including Direct Operating Costs Coverage;
  • Assist with store opening requirements and setup;
  • Provide training and support to managers and consultants on Compliance, POS systems, security systems, etc. and our customer information technology systems;
  • Monitor sales within region to ensure sales targets are met and come up with inventory strategies to move stagnant products;
  • Manage store inventory, adjusting inventory at each location depending on market trends and sale performance;
  • Conduct evaluations and store audits to identify areas of improvement;
  • Ensure retail operations are adhering to governmental agency regulations, company policies and up to company standards by providing feedback, coaching and mentoring through store audit results
  • Set and follow up on standards and objectives for stores using Key Performance Indicators;
  • Liaise with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions with HR;
  • Work with LP’s and accessory providers in scheduling in-store consultant training sessions and pop ups;
  • Develop and maintain a master list of accessories stores are required to carry, sign off on orders and assist in merchandise set-up;
  • Assisting in designing, implementing and managing employee training programs
  • Monitor employee performance and response to training;
  • Assist in developing and improving standard operating procedures;
  • Report to senior executives on progress, issues and areas for improvement;
  • Constant research and suggestions in improving the customer experience;
  • Ensure the customer experience is industry leading by facilitating industry best practices and initiatives.

About you

Requirements

  • 5 years retail management experience;
  • 3 years regional management experience;
  • Qualified Cannabis Worker Certification & SellSafe Certification (AGLC) required;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
  • Thorough knowledge of the Retail Cannabis Store Handbook (RCSH);
  • Experience training others in using Point of Sale systems;
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management;
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Self driven with the ability to work independently and with others;
  • Ability to motivate others;
  • High level of ethics, values, integrity and trust;
  • Flexible availability – including nights, weekends and holidays.
