About this role


  • Provide local stewardship for accounting and tax processes to be implemented for the business that will be newly acquired, based on policies and processes;
  • Perform local legal entity accounting related to the tax and accounting impacts of an anticipated acquisition;
  • Provide accounting guidance to the local business partners (from the FP&A and controlling teams) on the treatment of transactions that arise during the period;
  • Prepare necessary monthly closing entries by working closely with the business partners to determine what, if any, activities occurred during the month that require manual journal entries;
  • Work with the business process outsource team (responsible for the transaction accounting for O2C, P2P, product costing and R2R) to answer questions, elevate issues, etc;
  • Execute all local legal entity transformation activities as directed by Corporate Tax team and by the third-party Tax Partner;
  • Evolve into the local Super User (key user) for key accounting processes impacting financial reporting including but not limited to O2C, S2P and R2R for the acquired business;
  • Act as key subject matter expert on Local GAAP policy/procedures interpretation;
  • Participate in any data migration and/or management activities, related to financial accounting processes, in preparation for the integration of IT systems at the time of full IT integration;
  • Demonstrate a strong compliance-oriented mindset & help to build a strong compliance culture;
  • Awareness of all applicable financial/taxation standards, process documentation & training materials to ensure compliant execution of daily operations;
  • Ensure ownership for all applicable financial reporting and operational controls as well as broader oversight for all controls that influence the financial statements;
  • Engage with External/Internal Audit/Taxation authorities to ensure full ownership and excellence in all Group/Statutory/Internal/Taxation/Regulatory audits;
  • Responsible for local tax compliance activities and management of associated of payments as coordinated with corporate tax and with third party tax providers;
  • Support the provision of information to third party providers to assist in the preparation and filing of withholding tax and customs reporting;
  • Conduct review and approval of cash flow forecasts;
  • Review and validate monthly FX forecast;
  • Support company’s development of working capital reporting and assist the business in establishing its working capital management rhythm.

About you


  • Bachelor’s Degree (or similar) in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent work experience;
  • Proven analytical, problem solving, and communication skills;
  • Proven compliance orientation based on prior operational business roles;
  • Ability to work in local/regional/global team environment and communicate effectively with both internal business partners of all levels & disciplines as well as external stakeholders such as auditors and tax authorities;
  • Fluency in English language;
  • Ability to travel globally as needed. Regular travel between in-country offices may be needed;
  • Chartered accountant, CPA or equivalent preferred;
  • Accounting and tax experience in Multinational Companies;
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
